World-famous Indian singer Deepak Kumar Pareek will celebrate Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, with songs that reflect the joy of the season. Indians the world over rejoice with friends and relatives, exchanging sweets and thrilling to the sights and sounds of lights and fireworks.

Deepak's movie star looks and princely bearing transport his audiences to the ancient and spiritual land of Mother India, his birthplace. His soulful voice and superb artistry on the harmonium and guitar create a memorable experience for his listeners. Deepak's music crosses all cultural boundaries and touches the deepest part of the soul.

Rajasthani born, Deepak's musical education began at a very young age with his father Shri P.N. Vyas as his first teacher. His training continued with masters Ustad R.F. Dagar, Ustad Moinuddin Khan and Mohinderjit Singh. Deepak has vast experience performing live in concert both in India and the U.S. He has just returned from a cross-country tour with the famous gypsy troupe Musafir. He is on the faculty of the East-West School of Music at Ananda Ashram in Monroe, New York, where he frequently gives concerts and teaches North Indian vocal music on a regular basis.

In the New York area, Deepak has performed at Christie's, the Chopra Center, Sirius Radio with Deepak Chopra, the ARCH SPACE, PIANOS and Jivamukti Yoga School in addition to giving lecture/demonstrations at many colleges and universities in the Philadelphia and New York areas.

Accompanying Deepak on tabla is the New-York based master Ramesh Sharma, who has accompanied major artists both in India and the U.S.
